Artist Statement:
Cultivate embodies the idea of seedpods being cast out into a field from a farmer’s hands. The varying surfaces of the seeds themselves suggest the various types of crops. The seedpods take on a manufactured appearance as a means to immortalize how we have come from hand casted planting to a much more industrial means of cultivation.
