Artist Statement:

"Lupine is a whimsical abstract rendition of the native wildflower. The brilliant green color used on the piece is abundant in spring and is everywhere. Once summer sets in, the green blends in with the background and almost disappears. Like the brilliant green color of spring, as we age, we too seem to blend into the “surroundings” of society. We may be muted, but our true brilliant core is ever present."
