Artist Statement:
I constructed this sculpture to bring awareness to the fact that we are losing many of our bees, butterflies and moths. Because of efforts to eliminate many of our so-called “undesirable bugs” we are degrading our natural environment. I hope this butterfly serves as a reminder to save our environment for all species, large and small.
